@PurpleJ was the enfant terrible[/i] of Hardcore Husky. His schtick was that he was Tacoma tough, championed "the beautiful game" of soccer, annoyed everyone with updates on Manchester United, told stories about his cats, posted bizarre videos of Power Rangers, always claimed that nobody's love of Husky football was as pure as his... On a site where it's very hard to get banned, he got banned twice, including when he posted a porn video clip of a pregnant woman being kicked in the stomach (When I banned him and asked what the hell was wrong with him, he said he was making a stand against abortion).

He self-exiled multiple times, then came back with the alt account @coronabruin.

My description of Purple J only scratches the surface. And I don't think it even captures the bizarre essence that is him. On the whole, I love me some Purple J and always hope that he comes back to post regularly.

J sheepishly PM'd me right after he joined HH. He said I probably didn't want him here. I said why? He told me he ran Dawgboard, and I didn't know that and I didn't really care either. He said others here probably wouldn't want him here. I said fuck them -- jump in and post.

35,000 posts and 24 Power Ranger threads later, the man was a legend.
