Tough break for DeBoer

Looked it up. You are correct, 2 years as a backup QB and 2 years as a WR. I have zero recollection of him as a QB whatsoever. Randle-El was a full time QB at Indiana before playing WR in the NFL and that’s why I thought of him first. He’s as big as Bolden so that’s probably a better physical comp.

After the Whammy in Miami, Sports Illustrated featured Kordell Stewart's hail mary on their cover instead of the DWAGS. That really, really bothered me back then

Boldin was a WR. Basically it was a Jerramy Stevens situation where the team used the QB position as a carrot in recruiting, but was never seriously considering the position as they saw star player elsewhere. I think it was the first day in full pads at Florida State his freshman year that they moved Boldin to WR “for a few snaps” and the rest is history. Truth was it was their plan all along, similar to Dick Baird and Stevens.

Boldin was a stud HS QB but yes, WR at FSU.

He won’t have to play in Canada imo. Running qb is all the rage and he’s athletic and fast with size. Comp is Justin Fields. GMs are desperate, I’d much rather take a flyer on Milroe than trotting out there with a scrub like Heaner. And if he truly sucks after 2 years of with an nfl OC full time he can play rb or a gadget guy for some team. Or maybe I’m stupid which is possible ha
 
DeBoer could be hear geared up for rebuilding highly ranked teams coming into Husky Stadium after a slight rebuild last year in Seattle. Instead, he's in a full rebuild in Alabama. Be careful what you wish for.
