he’s going to get more talent than cal has had since the prime tedford years….and in the acc, if you have top 25ish talent it’s not difficult to go 9-3 at worst.I like it for Cal. Why not roll the dice? It's going to be fun to watch probably regardless.
Shouldn't be that hot of a take all things considered.Hot take—I can see tosh being a better HC than he was a DC if he delegates to both coordinators (and makes good hires).
Yeah….especially with the new AD-funded NIL payments…Kentucky is one of 4-5 p4 schools (probably Kansas, Duke, unc, zona the others?) where you are second to the basketball program in terms of how much $ the AD allocates per sport. While your direct competition is giving 90% of their pot to football. Not a great setup.Shouldn't be that hot of a take all things considered.Hot take—I can see tosh being a better HC than he was a DC if he delegates to both coordinators (and makes good hires).
Stein at Kentucky feels like more of a reach.
So far I am impressed with Tosh, with the QB especially. He's already on Jedd's level, just in an easier conference.Yeah….especially with the new AD-funded NIL payments…Kentucky is one of 4-5 p4 schools (probably Kansas, Duke, unc, zona the others?) where you are second to the basketball program in terms of how much $ the AD allocates per sport. I think he will do fairly well. I bet he gets a lot of disgruntled backups at big schools to come and start at Cal. And he can really recruit. It’s a good hire by them.
