Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney acknowledged Thursday that U.S. military aid to Ukraine was previously withheld by the administration at least in part because of allegations of interference by the Eastern European nation in the 2016 election.

"Did he also mention to me in [the] past the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely," Mulvaney said of a conversation he had with President Donald Trump. "No question about that. But that's it, and that's why we held up the money."[/i][/b]

Mulvaney on his explanation saying it sounds like a quid-pro-quo to which Mulvaney said: “We do that all the time with foreign policy.”

Mulvaney is right though. I recall a vice president telling the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor or they don't get the money

Mulvaney confirms the quid pro quo but the defense has now shifted to quid pro quos are common. At one point even Blob admitted if there was a quid pro quo then Trump should be impeached. I have no doubt now that the quid pro quo has been admitted to his defense will likewise shift.
