I think over the last two decades, there are two UW coaches that win that game. Deboer, and Rick, not so much for his coaching prowess, but for his swagger. The jury is still out as to whether DeBoer's tenure at UW will best that of Pete's.
But one thing's for sure, a Peterman team (with comparable talent) would have never won that game on Sat.
While Deboer's overall technical coaching ability is a work-in-progress (for us, anyway), I see body language and response from this team that have been missing for a long time. No panic, no moping, no out-of-control raging, stupid late-hit penalties, over-celebrating shit. He has sold them on his process.
