Still a strong fight ... that is one of the few he has lost at the NHL level

You could say it is a "gutless" time to start a fight ... I'd argue that it's exactly the right time for a player of his stature to start a fight ... comes because of actions during the game ... holds people accountable without hurting his team ... sends messages. Which honestly, fighting in the NHL is as much about messages as anything else.
 
And if you want to watch a good one, the best of that grouping is the Iginla fight ... one of the best I've seen between two top end players
