I went to the 3rd round of the WGC championship held at Sahalle in 2002. Tiger was not in contention so he was out early. My buddy and I were positioned between the 11th and 12th holes as Tiger walked through close enough to touch
He had the death stare. My bud and I looked at each other and were like Dude did you see how ignored us? Cool. Better than an autograph
Went to Torrey in 2007. First round Tiger was the first out on the North course. I was on the first bus in so for 3 holes it was like walking with him at the club. He blew one over the 2nd green and a group of us surrounded the ball and again Tiger with the death stare and not a word. He couldn't crack because he would be swallowed whole by the mob.
Place filled up and on a Thursday morning there was a gallery like Sunday. Rest of the course was almost empty

When I was a kid my Grandma Lydia told me a story from the 1950s where she and my grandpa and one other couple walked around with Arnold Palmer as he played a round. I wish I could remember the context or name of the course. I appreciate the story now much more than when she told me.
 
My dad grew up in Atlanta and got to go to masters practice rounds with my grandpa back in the day. I’d give a nut to set foot on that course.
