Thursday Night "Special": Oregon State +3 at home vs. Utah

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Utah beat a down Michigan on the road and also beat UCLA on the road by 2 but also crapped the bed in the second half and lost to WSU by a point.

I would stay away from this one. Utah is still Utah. They lost to WSU. Michigan is a legitimately bad team. UCLA might be one too.

Yeah but Utah is one of the top 20 football teams in America

I'd turn all of my attention to taking the +21 against Oregon ... that's a HUGE number with our defense.

I agree, that's a Chip Kelly vs. Sloppy Steve line so I'm already on it:

STRAIGHT WAGER 10/13/14 15:03 EDT
Bet $ 1,000.00 to win $ 909.09 Result: Pending
Washington U vs Oregon 10/18/14 20:00 EDT Washington U +21 (-110)

For those who like to wager, some lines that I like for the week:

KState +8 @ Oklahoma (particularly if the line moves back closer to the opening of 10)
West Virginia +8.5 vs. Baylor (let down game)
Alabama -11.5 vs. TAMU (TAMU is not very good)
Colorado +19.5 @ USC (I know, I know, USC is 2 plays away from being undefeated)
Georgia Tech -2.5 @ North Carolina (North Carolina is terrible)
Notre Dame +11.5 @ Florida State (my FSU buddy tells me that Golson is exactly the kind of QB that gives FSU trouble defensively)
Stanford -3.5 @ ASU

Is Taylor Kelly back for ASU?

Do you happen to remember of the top of your head what the FSU - Clemson spread was?

I say Graham said that he thinks both Kelly and Bercovicici will play against Stanford. Who knows though, but if he is saying that I would expect Kelly to not be 100%

Thanks.

Speaking of the injured, I really hope Riva can go on Saturday but it sounds like he sprained an ankle and probably will sit out this weekend.

If I remember right it was in the 21 point range prior to the Jameis stuff coming out and then went down to 14 by kickoff.

Notre Dame is definitely better than Clemson.

Either way, I don't think that Florida State has "IT" this year. I've had this game circled for a while as the game that they will lose.

Notre Dame got pushed by North Carolina last week for some reason, let down game? I actually like USC to roll in this one, Sark has plungered the Buffs the last couple years, and the script says that he gets off the mat here for a few weeks. Agree on the others.

Notre Dame had UNC sandwiched between Stanford and Florida State. Wouldn't shock me if it was some combo of not 100% focus from ND thinking it'd be an easy win and UNC stepping up a bit based on the stage.

Colorado is much improved. USC in my mind doesn't look like they are really that good and definitely not well coached.
