I absolutely did not want to watch Deadpool because it seemed like more retarded Marvel bullshit. But Khaleesi (RIP) got me to see it last year, and it was the hardest I've ever laughed watching a movie.

the director's cut of kingdom of heaven is in my top 5 all time movies. it's that good. i'd also bet every dollar i have that pitchfork would hate that version too.

seriously though, the only comparable director's cut that changes a movie from meh to masterpiece is blade runner (also directed by ridley scott). ridley scott himself said it was his best movie, he's directed blade runner, alien, gladiator etc.

It's easily the most substantial director's cut of all time, way moreso than Blade Runner or Cleopatra or anything else. Takes a 5/10 movie and turns it 10/10. Google it and you'll see how beloved it is.
