Throbber is not a heartless son of a bitch. Everybody needs a little help sometime in their lives. Some are able to plan for and weather such times. Some cannot.
Putting in a lifetime cap on the amount individual recipients directly receive might be a step in the right direction. Considering time limitations on how long one should be able to receive things like Section 8 housing is another. Lots of ways to put a governor on folks taking advantage of the system. De-incentivize popping out welfare babies is another.
And don't even get me started on 'disabled'. Throbber has a relative who was in the military, then got discharged for smoking weed. He had some kind of minor ouchie during his service that he subsequently leveraged after the fact. He's still pulling money each month and can get VA healthcare. Fuck that. That kind of shit is bullshit.

I always laugh at the retards who think the USA does provide free healthcare and food as the top budget expenses. But if we could just get Bezos and musk to pay 100 billion poverty would be eliminated and insulin would be free.
