The answer to this is that it is the law. If you let the president violate the law and pick somebody off the streets, NO MATTER HOW VILE HE IS, then there isn't anything to stop from continuing. HE IS TESTING THE BOUNDARIES.

There is no controversy here I can see… SCOTUS ordered the Trump administration to facilitate that guy's return. So to comply with the order he has to facilitate it. The idea that he can't bring him back is nonsense, since we all know he could with a phone call. And if he doesn't comply under the Constitution he should be impeached for high crimes.

he should record a call with bukele saying hey the court wants me to attempt to bring him back. Will you give him back? Then Bukele says no I don’t think I will. He’s an ES citizen and we want him here to go to jail for being a wanted violent criminal. Then trump says okay good talk.
