this is another example

New Fish
of a game where one team wants to be there and one team doesn't give a shit.
Time for a 8 team playoff at least and scrap everything else.

8 teams is as high as it should ever go... maybe we get that in 2025 or whenever the new contract comes up.

BTW, Baylor is still going to score 40 points, don't you think?

4 Super Conferences - 8 Divisions

First round of playoffs is the division champs (8)

Second round of playoffs Conference Champs v. Conference Champs (4)

Third Round ... Natty

Done. Done. Done.

not a huge fan of the divisions. Sort of like the SEC when they had LSU and Alabama that year the two best teams were in the same division. Reward the conference champs and fill out the rest of the 8 with the best teams who didn't win their conference

Huh?

So like in the Alabama scenario a non-conference champion can win the natty?

I'm not a fan of a team who can't win their conference outright winning the natty.

If the two best teams are in the same division, THE best team will emerge from the conference.

Win your division, win your conference ...

are we talking NFL or college?

We are talking college, but if you hate non-division/non-conference champs winning the Natty, then do you hate it when Wildcard teams win the SB?

They're not exactly parallels, more just curiosity here.

Then keep it to college ... I'm sure there's a NFL bored for you to talk NFL if you'd like.

Should just scrap conferences and bowls altogether, and do a 128 team tournament starting with 4 team groups and a round robin, with the group winners entering a knockout round. That way, we don't have to watch shitty teams play past September.

Why do you hate the 2011 BCS national champions?

Your conference championship prerequisite sounds great, but it's never actually existed in cfb.

I hate, and do not recognize, the 2011 BCS Champions because it was fucking bullshit.

Alabama lost to LSU at home ... why should they get to play in the BCS National Championship?

I get its never existed before.

But here are some points:

The super conferences are coming. The B1G is moving everyone that direction.

Part of playoff push back is the travel length of schedule blah blah blah

With super conferences why not use those as the play off to get conference champions.

Just sayin.
