Agree but one big difference is that athletes don't go disappearing for weeks here like they did in China with Peng Shuai. But that's probably only a matter of time now.
Actually, it isn't the same sh*t. The same sh*t would be the STATE trying to put someone one in jail for the rest of their life for defending their life with the approval of entire STATE media. The same sh*t would be the STATE media supporting a lying incompetent bureaucrat telling the US public that the chicom crud didn't come from a chicom biolab funded by the incompetent bureaucrat.
I remember when some Hollywood actresses came out and put a famous producer in jail. No one in China is going to jail for raping a female tennis player. Other than that is just the same. Only people in jail for a political protest are the January 6 insurrectionists that haven't been charged with insurrection.
