Standing with a fledgling democracy against an authoritarian aggressor would be a no brainer for an American. Pretending there isn't any historic example of what happens when you don't stand up to such naked aggression is fucking retarded.
That we were getting to inflict harm on that aggressor, our geopolitical enemy, without having to put boots on the ground was an added bonus.

This is the current border between the Union State and NATO. There's 5 countries on this border alone that are part of Putin's Russian imperial destiny.

I'll let you figure out what the impact of American isolationism and Russian appeasement means, and the message that sends to Russia, China, NK, Iran, and the globe. Without American support, stasis is off the table. You're essentially begging for global security risks on dozens of military and economic fronts. Have you no sense of scale or historical background? Even if an emboldened Russia is standing at a border without attacking, the threat alone takes enormous security resources, which is exactly what Russia and China want. If America isn't part of that security, well, that means we are a second rate backwoods, regressive, isolationist country that has conceded its place in the pecking order and given up all post-WW2 American ideals. If that's what you want, say it.
