I'm at the point where most people are decent enough at technical stuff and I’d rather just hire if I like them and won’t find them annoying. And don’t think they’ll job hop in like 6 months

I'm at the point where I pretty much hate most generations in the workplace.
Boomers, nough said.
Gen X - IF they have technical and technological competence are ok and usually mature/professional. So maybe 10% of them.
Millennials - technological competency and the emotional development of being stuck in high-school permanently.
Zoomers - Afraid of human interaction, afraid of their own shadows, pretty much anti-professional.

Sounds like you need to get out of the workplace. Lot of hate here.

Call it rational prejudice. You are a store owner. The last 10 store robberies have been conducted by black gang members. Black gang members are going to get a lot more scrutiny than the little white lady from down the street. It isn't tribal. In my case, the store owner is black. He isn't tribal.
