I'm at the point where most people are decent enough at technical stuff and I’d rather just hire if I like them and won’t find them annoying. And don’t think they’ll job hop in like 6 months

I'm at the point where I pretty much hate most generations in the workplace.
Boomers, nough said.
Gen X - IF they have technical and technological competence are ok and usually mature/professional. So maybe 10% of them.
Millennials - technological competency and the emotional development of being stuck in high-school permanently.
Zoomers - Afraid of human interaction, afraid of their own shadows, pretty much anti-professional.

Every stereotype has a basis in truth. It's how the brain organizes itself for efficiency. But it's all learned behavior, whether it's from our parents, our peers, our experience, or what we choose to pay attention to. We are not born with prejudice.
None of it applies to any individual. The individual is it's own being in every case, always. Even in Everett and Bend's case.

It is horseshit to apply human's ingrained fear of snakes and spiders at the same level as another tribe who looks different. False. The fear of the shapes and movements of spiders and snakes have been selectively chosen for since we were monkeys getting choked out by snakes and bitten by black widows and dying. Amy Klobuchar dropped out of the VP race because she said a black woman was needed. Not the best candidate, but a black woman.

Why was it so important to get a “black woman” on the VP ticket with Biden for the Democrats if not “othering” the VP candidates based on race and sex?
Trump won handily with a white guy VP this time around and got more racial minority percentage of votes than any GOP in my lifetime.
