THE UNITED STATES OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

Very soft out there. Seems like the move is to play back off the tee today where it’s wide. This course isn’t that long.

Tactical mistake to be playing bomb and gouge today. Rough is a half shot penalty in a lot of cases. Advantage of being 20-30 further up is not half a shot.

Hatton is looking solid. He’s been a good player for years, but tends to have mental meltdowns in majors. As a fellow sufferer of golf course rage, I’m pulling for him.

I’m fine with any of the top 4 winning. Fuck that Mexican guy, he’s a nobody. I hope he gets deported tonight. My kid with T1D is rooting for Spaun, I’m personally rooting for Adam Scott, but Burns and Hovland are good young players who’ve played well this week. Looking forward to sitting on the couch all day tomorrow.

Not the most compelling leaders but it's still the US Open on Sunday. Wet course.
I think Burns closes. A Curtis Strange type grinder made for today
I don't trust Scott and Victor is just enough off
Anyway apologies to Burns for ruining his chances

At some point Adam Scott is gonna have to make a big putt with his broomstick with the flag in from 6 feet. Mark of a great putter.
Last time he was in contention at a major at one of the PGA’s that Brooks won, he had two putters in his bag in the final round.

I watched the 08 highlight film. The USGA grouped the top 3 players. Tiger Phil and Adam Scott
He's been around a long time. Came out with a Tiger 2000 swing and still has it
But that putter as Bob points out…
