One of the half brain iron laws is that it is a lot easier to become and stay a loser program than it is to become a big winner program. It was our main concern by 2007 that UW was losing whatever it was that made them a good program under James and brought out the Minnesota comparison.

Even blue bloods like USC and Bama can wander through the desert for longer than most fans realize. The difference is they are one coach away from getting back on top

I think we've all seen this desperation move by the players to get some kind of training in that the coaches aren't doing.
