It bottomed at ~350 in 2023, Biden raised it to ~375 by the time he left. Trump raised it to ~415 (58%) during his term. Now he's taking 172 out of it. So now we'll be at ~240, lower than any point in Biden's term by far.

Biden could have filled it more than he did, but who has had power since January 2025?

Already had it straight from the VP of our company. Domestic supply is adequate to continue US refining for US consumption. Can't speak to the Chinese, good luck the rest of the way!

Biden used the SPR due to supply shortages caused by COVID and the Ukraine War. Yes, to stabilize gas prices. No shit. That's what it's used for in emergencies. That's what we're doing now.

The point is that neither Biden nor Trump have refilled it enough, despite ample opportunities.

Donny Queens had his chance to fill at fairly low prices throughout 2025. He didn't.

If we're gonna say (wrongly) that Biden used the SPR for electoral reasons in the 2022 midterms, couldn't we say Trump is doing the same fucking thing right now for the 2026 midterms? Yes. Yes, we could. But we're not retards. Or are we?
