I'm hearing that most people look down on the redneck states for being pro covid and do everything they can to avoid going there.
I saw the graph somewhere earlier.
Cali and NY each lost 350,000. Utah ID and MT all had gains. ID was something like 53,000
Cali is losing hundreds of thousands of taxpaying citizens. And importing hundreds of thousands of illegal and legal immigrants to go on welfare - but are still in a net loss position but the actual dollars are a horrific mess.

Not a new or unique observation but state is rapidly devolving into 3rd World status. Extremely wealthy people who have the means to completely wall themselves off with private security, private schools and the ability to live in areas that aren't impacted by the leftist politics they support. Pelosi is the queen of this class of people. None of the crime and violence and homeless degenerates that middle class folks have to deal with ever darken her door.
How in the hell with all the money that has been spent on public education in Cali do you end up with one in four residents of the Golden State being illiterate? It's almost like actual education isn't important but making fun of West Virginia is very important.

I'll guarantee there are far, far more people in California who are poor, illiterate and strung out than there are in WV. 1/3 of all Welfare recipents in the entire country are in California. Have of all the homeless drug addicts live in California. Only a tiny fraction of all black and Hispanic high school students can read at grade level.

But when you look at school districts like Oakland Unified the numbers look more like this: The numbers were equally dismal in Oakland Unified, where those meeting standards made up only 29 percent in English and 23 percent in math. This is just more evidence on how ignorant leftard "elitists" are. While they have very strong feelings about how things are, actual knowledge of how things are is to be avoided at all costs. And in this case, ignorance is not bliss, it leads to very angry and unhappy leftists who have this tremendous wish to make everyone equally miserable.

Just read that Florida is adding nearly 400,000 citizens per year, so your assumption seems to be on solid ground. Also not surprisingly culture and freedom are among the factors most noted. DeathSantis, lulz.
