Football coaching is so damn cut throat I don't see a guy doing much with nepotism or sticking around the sport if he wasn't really into it. Could easily just sit on a trust fund and do nothing or go into broadcasting.
I've loved the pressure I've seen so far. Even against shitty opponents the past few years it was boy let's hope Trice can be a double team or else the other team has 10 seconds to do whatever they want.

Agree. Guys are getting home on blitzes for the first time in forever and tacklers are driving the ball-carrier backwards on contact.
DeBoer defense was finesse, Petersen and Lake defense was a couple run pluggers with shitty linebackers and playing containment in the back end.
Plus we have actual physical studs in the offensive backfield. UW can actually kick people's asses in a few different phases of the game.
We certainly are confident. There's no way that could go wrong.
Dominate the Kewg and I’ll be close to sold. Rutgers on the road is my test for the defense. They slow down that running game, make that shit QB beat them and I’m in. Sounds easy but I’ve been disappointed before. I’m a Husky fan.
Beat the Coug by even 1 point and I'm happy. I don't know even we've even seen the level of grease that team is going to have given they don't even have a conference and what the fuck are they playing for?

This. It’s going to be an all-time grease job for Cuog. They’re always greased up for the Apple Cup, but this year is going to be a different thickness and viscosity of grease than we’re accustomed to seeing.

The Coug played their, “We don’t have a conference” card last year plus they had the, “if we win today we get a bowl game” and the “we’re going to ruin your dream season” cards to make a full house of grease. This Coug team has had a long time to come to grips with being a weird, quasi Mountain West team. Plus last year they had Cam Ward. He’s a much better/proven QB than Mateer. UW should win this game rather easily. Say, 34-17
That Coug team also had sneaky talent on defense - DE, CB, and S drafted, and they had another decent UDFA DE. And yes, Ward is pretty good.
