The rise and fall of Sriracha

Sriracha seems like one of those things that was pretty good but got way overblown at the start of social media where people acted like it was a religion or something.

This is probably right. I have very strong contrarian tendencies which result in me actively disliking things that get virally popular. Which is why I dislike Coldplay, The Office, Sriracha and probably explains my presence on this website.

In N Out kind of had that going on early social media where people were acting like it was better than steak and lobster. Looking back that kind of shit could have just been early sponsored content.

Nutella is in there too. Suddenly it became THE BEST THING EVER. I put Nutella on my toothbrush and brush my teeth with it every night. NUTELLA.
 
Biscuits and Gravy is the Tabasco go to.
Damn right. I never liked breakfast gravy until I tried Tabasco on it.

Sriracha was fine when I needed something to spice up my teriyaki. I never understood how it got so popular to the point where it was a feature ingredient.
