Greg Byrne, Arizona's AD is a real up and comer. He earned very good reviews when he came on board there and used Arizona's early season slide in 2011 (behind a brutal schedule) to can Stoops who was a fucking clown. Stoops was a mediocre coach and good enough for a mediocre program but Byrne made the right choice and Rich Rod won 8 games his first season.

He's a young guy, his father is a lifelong AD, he has ties to the NW & South.....this is the type of guy who would perfect for rebuilding UW's football program.

Point remains that Huard was fucking awful and Oregon's defense at the time was gassed. Why call an out route with a weak arm QB when you have an AA RB? That was very Sarkisian like play call by Linehan.

I'd trade Byrne for Woodpecker in a heartbeat. Arizona, the basketball school, takes football more seriously than Washington. Oh, and they won the baseball NC last year.
