I would argue that economicism is to blame not racism. People that have money get more, than people that don't. Then, their children go to nice schools and then get nice jobs. Then their children, and so on. Financially strong minorities get the same as financially strong whites. And yes, financially weak minorities are discriminated the same as financially weak whites.

But I do not agree with income sharing. Fuck that. 99% of rich people at one time earned it, or had a past family member earn it. Maybe if a low life would go out and earn something for a change, maybe the world would be a better place.

You are the one racial profiling in this thread. You are the one who started refering to a certain demographic of people as "they". You treat "them" (since you like to catergorize people as such) as if they are babies/puppies, incapable of going out and accomplishing a simple task. This isn't some insane barrier someone has to go through in order to vote as you like to make it out to be.

An obscure case in Florida or a microcosm of a greater problem? The media was on to it long before Obama commented on it. There were marches before before he said anything.

Voter ID laws are unnecessary. Voting is a civil liberty, ID requirements diminish that. If someone wants to vote the requirement should be citizenship, nothing beyond that. You're lying to yourself if you truly don't see the intention of these laws.

How do you prove citizenship without ID? You don't.

Why don't you prove that requiring the same ID you need to register at the poll is actually suppressing the vote? You can't. How did you divine this intention? Fucking Kreskin?

We profile all day every day. Black profile whites as well. If I am on neighborhood watch and a dude in a hoodie is walking around in the middle of the night i'm checking him. Zimmerman would have checked me. I just don'e think Hispanics are inherently racist. The race hustlers thought George was white - that's why it became the cause of the day.

I'm starting to agree that this whole thread was a futile experiment to have any kind of real discussion on race.

I was drawn to this site because the people here were mostly fucking assholes like me who like to smoke weed and talk shit.

Trying to have an argument on anything outside of Husky Football becomes an infinite loop, similar to how arguments dissolve into talking points in politics and society.

I'm guilty of this too.

Best to just ignore the general bored and talk shit to doogs and post stupid pictures and gameday signs and make fun of quadriplegic bigots and make gurgle jokes and troll the fucktards on scout.com

You pretty much just described the internet in general. It is pretty much people just screaming at their hand. For a lot it is a natural place for people to blow off steam so arguments get nowhere and off course for the most part.

You just have to realize through all this disagreement it isn't anything personal. This probably won't be the last time this happens either.
