disagree some. While I do agree that there really isn’t anything “new” or “gimmicky” happening, the good OCs/head coaches know how to stay one step ahead of defenses while taking advantage of the talent they have on their roster. And instead of waiting for defenses to figure them out, they’re tweaking things. The head coach at Chicago is a good example. Sean McVey is another. I think Kubiak in Seattle is an example of an OC who can’t stay a step ahead of the defenses for long — one reason he’s bounced around.I agree about Fisch in the NFL, but the offenses are all the same in college and the pros.Have you watched NFL offenses? There’s a reason I like college ball better. Fishlips needs to give up this pro style bullshit, spread the field and give his midget QB the best opportunity to be great.I thought the NFL might be the best place for Fisch, but after this season, I don't see any redeeming qualities that he would bring to an NFL team.
He's not innovative, he's a lousy play-caller, can't win big games and, despite what some people in here think, he's a shitty CEO.
I mean, what does he bring to the table that an NFL team would want?
I don't disagree. But what Fisch calls an NFL offense would absolutely get demolished by NFL defensive coordinators. He's nowhere near that level of a playcaller/coordinator.
Nobody in college football is winning big with a gimmick offense anymore. Those days are gone. The players are better and the good teams don’t have glaring weaknesses like they used to because youth and depth problems get filled by the portal.
