Who? The only big competitor on the schedule was Auburn. The rest of the conference is dreck. Just like Oregon.

Yours is over too, you just don't know it yet. Loss to USC or Oregon, then one additional loss to a team you shouldn't lose too. I'm thinking Arizona or Cal. Might squeak into the PAC championship game and win again, only to lose to whichever team you draw in the bowl. That's just how Pete rolls.

Like yours was last year.
I remember 2009. We lost embarrassingly to Boise State in the opener. We then blew out Washington on our way to the PAC 12 Championship and a Rose Bowl where we lost to OSU. We ended up ranked 11th in the country.
After the Boise loss many Duck fans were calling for Chips head too.
None of us should count our proverbial chickens.

As we mentioned, No. 11 Oregon led No. 16 Auburn 21–6 in the third quarter on Saturday night. Heisman hopeful Justin Herbert looked sharp, the Ducks looked like Playoff contenders, and it looked as though the Pac-12 would finally win a marquee nonconference game. Then Auburn stormed back. A lot of credit goes to Bo Nix, of course, but Oregon coach Mario Cristobal didn’t help his team much, either.
In the aftermath of the stunning loss, many media members—including, notably, Yahoo’s Pete Thamel—called out Cristobal for his poor game management. First, Cristobal burned two timeouts for not knowing the rules about injured players needing to sit out a play before returning to action. Then he failed to milk the clock in the fourth quarter, which gave Nix and the Tigers time to work on their final drive.
As a result, Oregon’s title chances took a big hit Saturday.

True that many laughed at Chip. We certainly dooged out after Chip’s opener. He proved us wrong as shit.
That was the first game he ever coached as a head coach.
Cristoballz has been a head coach not just for Oregon but for nearly 90 games. He is who he is until he proves he isn’t.
