He was supposed to have a relationship with his brother and their prospects. Bye wasn’t responsible for any one position. But yes lake is at fault. They both were worthless.
 
I gotta wonder if this season damaged Lake's reputation beyond repair in CFB. Most assumed he would land on his feet as a DC somewhere but I think he'd get lucky to land a DB coach gig at the P5 level. Just way too much baggage, can't recruit anymore, and has been exposed as a fraud. I bet he'll settle for some JonDon level jobs in the NFL before he ever re-emerges in CFB.

I don't think he wants to be in CFB at all anymore, and didn't for at least the last year. His eyes have been on the NFL for a while

If you're good and you're building those relationships -- as he and his brother and their sycophants have argued is so important -- then it shouldn't really matter that Lake was the HC. And until this year, nobody really knew Lake would flame out as HC.

This is what kills me about all these guys on Twitter begging DeBoner and whoever else would listen to keep Ford because his connections, particularly in-state, are so vital: how's that working out for ya? What the fuck did it ever get us except Tracy pimping USC and Ohio State?!? Show me the results.
