I voted write in because I think he should go to the Celtics. He won't, because he's a soft little pussy and he'll stay incubated in OKC.

Because the Celtics are a bunch of hardened thugs...

Puhleeze.

Dallas loves oversized soft guards #HiDirk!

Unfortunately for the Mavs, they've only just started paying Wes Matthews (12.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists) his 17 mil/year salary.

If he wants to make the most money: Sign a 1+1 deal with OKC and opt out next year and get a bigger deal.

If he wants to win: Either the Spurs or Boston (more likely). I have a gut feeling he will go to Boston. They have a young core and a lot of trade assets that they can use to pair him with another superstar.

I think Miami would be a championship contender if they got Durant but they will have to make a lot of moves to fit him under the cap.

My guess is he goes to Boston and they also bring in one more guy to compliment him.

If durant is smart, and let's not even get into that argument.....He sits and waits.

Logical choice here is obvious as some have stated. The 1+1 gives him one year to give OKC a shot and massively increase his bank account. However there are a few caveats to consider if he actually has good management team.

The first is spend the next couple weeks lighting up the phone lines and pull off a lebron move. Stop pussy footing around and even offer to take less money to stay in OKC with the 1+1 deal to bring in a guy who literally could change the narrative. He could also use the same strategy to go to any number of places such as Miami, Clips, etc.

The second move would be wait till after the deadline and see where guys start to move to and make OKC sit on their hands. There is nothing wrong with a player exercising power(even if they are idiots with power). A guy like Bron may move and then you have bron and durant on the market together.

Third, he has to consider his prime is shrinking and he did have a bum foot. If he can get a very good deal now and play another 4-5 years he'll still be in line for a couple more big year contacts(a la wade) while grabbing the financial security of the 4 year deal and a good situation that he wants to be in.

Lastly, while I do believe the money aspect is a big part of taking a 1+1, durant has a huge nike contract that is paying him for likely the rest of his life. He also has less marketability in OKC than just about any other city in the NBA. Going to LA, Miami, or the north east could easily capture 10's of millions in various ad deals that OKC just won't allow. There is also tax implications by going to Miami or any number of other sites.

Oh yeah, Lastly part Deux, the pussy in OKC vs Miami/NYC/LA????????
