Agreed. He would have run through that safety’s arm tackle and inserted the plunger. Still a smart play to take the slide and call it a day. No reason to make the D go back out there

That would have been the only way you give Oregon a chance. Slim, but they showed they could score in a matter of seconds.;
 
I know the Myles Gaskin run in the 2018 Snow Bowl Redux was pure catharsis, but this just means more. We big dicked the vaunted Eye Test /Fan Duel Pack Champs when all they had to do was get a stop on a 3rd and 9 obvious run situation.

I guess the slide is good. He could fumble or do the Leon Lett thing that dummy did a month ago. Someone could punch it out.

OTOH, it's Oregon, so I'd have no problem if they put up 84 points on them. No mercy. Running up the score is encouraged.

Kirk said 'they're going to have to punt' prior to that play. So I replayed it about a dozen times and yelled "Oh yeah?!?" after every time he said it.

That last drive was 8 plays including a holding penalty on UW.

5 runs by DJ covering 35 yards, 1 throw, 1 penalty and 1 kneel down.

Took 2:13 off the clock and Oregon couldn’t stop us when they absolutely needed to. So much for them being the more physical team.

Offensive line is a bunch of big mean nasty athletic skull fuckers. Doesn't hurt that they're blocking for a generational college QB and a big asshole running back that delivers some big time body blows.

Also shoutout Germie Bernard for washing a defensive lineman out of the play. Shephard is an amazing coach our WRs block better than anybody else's in the country. Love how hard our guys play.
