If you assume Roy Hibbert helps the Lakers, you are APAGFS
In the regular season he helps. The Lakers will still suck, but Hibbert is a good defensive center. He's a lot better than Robert Sacre or a rookie Upshaw.
Their goal should be losing as many games as possible
You can't tank when your pick is top 3 protected.

Or you tank hard to maximize your chances of winning a top 3 lottery pick, but still.

That would be pretty stupid because there are other teams that will tank and the chances of a top 3 pick are low.

Tanking for that is better than going 36-46
I disagree. If they were stuck paying Kobe $24 million per beyond next year then I could see rolling the dice. But they have two good young pieces, a shitload of cap space opening up after next season and they're the fucking Lakers. If they owned their pick I'd say tank it up, but since they don't putting a mediocre team together for this year positions them better for a run at free agents than winning 20 games and still losing their pick.If you assume Roy Hibbert helps the Lakers, you are APAGFS
