Agree with your point with one caveat.
If you voted for the dem party in the 1930's, in say Mississippi, and you knew the party leadership was anti-African American, anti-Jew, anti-Catholic, etc. and associated with the kkk, you were guilty of enablement and had a hand in the cruelty and racism/bigotry. If you voted for the hitler/nazi party in 1932 when you knew they were racist and bigoted, you were responsible.
If you are a democrat today, the stink of racism and bigotry is all over you.

They roll in the stench like a dog. Yet they call us Nazi's. But then every totalitarian accuses others of what they themselves are actually doing.
