I don't know about that. A lot of influential Mormons are awfully swampy...lots of Masons in the Mormon religion.
 
Trump got 72% of the Utah Mormon vote in 2020. If they got a qualified Utah conservative Mormon to run, I think Mittens is in trouble. I agree that some of the "top" Mormons are squirrely, like Jon Huntsman.
