The Fisching Report Recruiting Thread Sponsored by The Fisch Bowl

Andrew marsch, ishigan WR commit who had everyone wondering why the fuck he committed there, is visiting this weekend.

Probably trying to secure an increase on his bag. Kudos to him.
Marsh reminds me of a better Kalen Williams. He would be a very big get.

This kid dropped from #2 in state to #6. Looks like he might be a candidate to move inside. I'm guessing as DE he was sought after but he hasn't developed. Roughly Same size as Levi was coming out of HS.

This kid is the same size as Jack Velling when Smith recruited him out of Washington State to play for the Beavs. Second team all P12 last year. With PooPoo’s inability to recruit I expect us to offer late after all the out of state guys tell him to fuck off.
UW could get over 1/3 of their class from in state. These are good offer sheets. Not sure I've seen the state as deep as this since 2022? when UW struck out on all the Offensive lineman.
3* OT Kingston Kirkhoff’s dad is a pretty big UW fan (I worked with him). If he gets offered, I think he commits.

the new recruiting updates.

Don’t know if I buy it but kids getting paid next year.

WSU's John Mateer already has $1 million NIL offer from another school, says Paul Sorensen
Wouldn't surprise me at all. Proven QBs who can do anything, especially at schools you should be able to easily outbid don't grow on trees. Him being a Texas kid, I would assume A&M, TCU and Tech have already started plans to go at him. I'm too lazy to look up their current QB situations btw.

probably shit. A&M has a dual threat that might be worth something with more experience.

Would be hilarious if Crisco stole the Coog starting QB two years in a row. Can’t wait for KJR Coogs to diminish Mateer for taking the first ticket out of town.

Nothing about how our new basketball coach can go out and get a top 50 high school PG in the country that was demanding NIL?
Money wasn't an isn't an issue.
Ron Crocket yeah he's a booster for football as well but the guy is front and center at every hoops game. I've gone to games in the past where there was a snow storm that kept all but 500 fans from attending, and he came striding in just before tip off. I've attended 97% of the games over the last 20 years, he has been at everyone.

Solid pickup. Probably the first kid we've gotten from that area in a long time. Will probably end up being a 4-star when they switch him to being a WR on the TBS site.

Pulling a kid out of “The Couv” that has an Oregon offer is some great recruiting. This is hopefully a portent to UW getting the in state kids they want moving forward. Pete had it going with Washington kids, Jimmy was not good and Boner didn’t seem to care. Local kids like Bruener and Tupatala become more than the sum of their parts playing at UW. I want more.
