The Fisching Report Recruiting Thread Sponsored by The Fisch Bowl

if anyone hates money a list of luau visitors would be much appreciated. I know a couple of you gays give that midget your 10.99.

There are two uncommitted offensive lineman coming this weekend. The OT from Oregon currently committed to Minnesota and a giant human from Hawaii who’s got offers from Cal, Arizona, BYU and ASU. These are the types of kids Carrol went after at Arizona. Both have great size. He struck out on most of the big boys that came for visits and plan B is here. Luckily, BC turns these types of recruits in to draft picks so I’m here for it.

Edit:
Manamo’ui Muti 6’7” 320 includes other offers from Utah, USC, Oregon and UCLA.
Zac Stascausky 6’6” 270 is the kid from Oregon.

Predictions that the Minnesota OL is flipping to us? are in.
The kid from Hawaii had a better offer sheet but beggars can’t be choosers. I feel better having four offensive lineman than three or two. You just can’t do that. This kid seems solid and Champ and Flores look like good prospects and the Kennedy kid is a project. I’ll give the class a solid B. Get the big Hawaiian as well and I’ll up it to a B+.

David Woods was right about Fisch and why he hates UCLA for not getting him when they had the opportunity.

Given the updating House v NCAA agreement, rosters can go up to 105, meaning we could get 20 additional scholarship players than our current limit of 85
I wonder how much of the new 20 spots will be spread over the next few recruiting classes versus the portal
2024-25 could be very chaotic depending on how this rolls out

yeah that’s probably worthy of its own thread. Gonna be chaotic for the 2025 year.

Huffman says he's "Good. Not great."
I don't know the ins and outs of Huffman stalking this kid's friends and family, but multiple doogs on Twitter were insinuating that he already committed.
The two OL at Arizona, one drafted first round last year, one projected top 2 rounds this year, were good not great prospects out of HS. If Carrol hadn’t already done it I would be skeptical of his evaluations, recruiting and development. He’s got a track record with prospects like this though. He struck out on 5 of 7 players he would have had no shot with at Arizona. The late kids he’s bringing right now are P12, Arizona level recruits. I’m okay with this, I trust CBC.

Damn near every OL prospect is a project regardless of how highly ranked they are. I think that position is more about coaching and development than any other. Carroll has proven he can do that. I’m glad he’s starting to stack bodies at the position. I wasn’t happy with just 3. 4 or 5 each year is a must.
