Of course Purdue and Minnesota, etc are really going to regret Washington and UCLA elevating to the B1G.
16 commits now. Like I said they'll end up ranked like 21 or 22 at the end and it will resemble a Petersen type of class.
It’s definitely shaping up that way. It’s nice to see that the 3 star guys we’re getting aren’t midgets, they all have decent size. Yes, I’m putting them on a flatbed and judging their suitability for work.
Several of the 3* dudes gonna get bumped to 4* too. Souwf is gonna be stoked with the arbitrary increase. Bierly is a lock for 4* for sure. Even without a bump, many of these guys are high ceiling dudes, Big Ern's favorite, regardless of rank. I like what I'm seeing for year 1. It's not inconceivable to get into the top 20.
Yeah, this class went from concerning to borderline boner inducing in a week. Pretty crazy

I thought I got boners too easy…

Who cares? He’ll figure it out that they just give him a bag and then cycle through the portal next spring when they can’t develop talent there.
DT is a premium position out west, he was committed to UW, he's now committed to Oregon, and his nickname is Suga Bear. I CARE. Hope he gets the Sir Mells voodoo curse.
UW has done a good job of tricking Oregon with some of these guys. Go for a walk Buddy. I’m worried about you.

What a shitty day of recruiting. Caleb Smith looks like a future DL who has offers from most of the AAC and Sun Belt. He also has offers from Missouri and Arkansas of the SEC, Louisville and Georgia Tech of the ACC, Oklahomo State and West Virginia of the B12 and then Purdue. So, in finality, pulling this dude out of Alabama is akin to convincing a west coast kid not to go to Cal.

He was one of the first DL offered by the new coaching staff back in January.
I trust the coaches if he bleeds purple and shits gold

Carrol has missed on 4 of 7 offensive lineman they brought in wined and dined. The lowest rated and last uncommitted of the seven is choosing between UW, UCLA and USC in July. This program needs beef and I’m starting to get Herr Stausser vibes from this guy. Good coach based on his time at Arizona, poor salesman.

I agree, OL has been disappointing, both with the portal and HS recruiting
If we miss on Elijah Vaikona, I'm guessing we end up with just Lowen Colman-Brusa at OT

That’s a strange way to frame it.
Champ is the top rated recruit in the class if you like stars. And Flores is in the top half.
Current roster has only two senior OL and two junior OL (compared to 10 Fr/rFr.)
I doubt they want to take more than 3 given the roster imbalance so they appear to be right on track.

You would think if any place could appreciate boners it would be the teen boy stalking section of hardcore husky.

I wrote off Sharma as soon as the old staff left. Figured he just took a courtesy visit. Folsom actually isn't that far from Eugene so not a huge surprise there.
Not in the love with being back to the there's no room philosophy. With how quickly guys leave programs now it seems like the move is to load up and figure it out later.
Pretty much seems like the formula now is for guys to go through recruitment then set a commitment date then use that to leverage the biggest bag drop and then just go there.
Doesn't seem like UW is going to win a bag drop against almost anyone so any recruit that commits there either isn't recruited at all by bigger programs and maybe you can outbid a school that doesn't give a shit like UCLA or Cal and maybe there's an occasional guy like ZRS who is local who we are willing to spend extra on or who takes lower money because they want to stay close.

Folsom is in Sacramento, CA. It’s not even in the same state. That’s like saying Eugene and Seattle are close. That’s a weaker argument that the ‘we are full’ bullshit. But nice try.

This year for Fisch is the most acceptable "Year 0" for a program we've seen in awhile. I just can't get too upset about recruiting misses right now. Fisch is saying the right things and the staff appears to be putting in the effort. Win and results will come

If we end up getting ZRS, Zamorano, Dillard-Allen, Lawson, and Olugbode, then they're exceeding my expectations.
I still want them to do better, but that would be a solid class for a coach who's only been here 5 months
