Husky Legend Zach Durfee is the 5* recruit people forget about. Keeping him on the field in Husky uniform was the biggest recruiting win of our generation.

I unfortunately just don't see it happening with recruiting. I really feel like we're going to be getting the same class DeBoer would have got now, with maybe a few of the "are they really four star?" guys he might have passed on to boost the ranking a bit.
DeBoer would’ve done better. It’s not Fisch’s fault the momentum got ripped away and the big wallets got shook.
Even the schools that hand out bags in the most shameless and obvious ways possible are still 'playing the game' with their head coaches and doing silly shit for clicks.
DeBoer wasn't doing that, and barely even is at Alabama right now. Barely.
Fisch is trying to put out this 'We?re big time' look with the Ballmers, Belichek and Laker shit. I just don't think it's as effective as he thought it'd be.
Coach Pete fumbled that EE recruiting.
Yeah I was really unimpressed with DeBoer's recruiting despite everything with the program up until the day he left. High school and portal. I think it's possible there's just a convergence of things going on in recruiting and UW right now that don't line up for success.

I thought I remembered that EE was a heavy Husky lean (UW parents) when he was a 3/4 star recruit but once he blew up and schools like Ohio State truly got involved he backburnered UW and Pete and there wasn't much he could do. Example of him wearing Ohio State gloves when Pete was coming to watch him play.
Really hoping him and JTT don't get to win a natty this year because they weren't gonna be big time picks last year and when they both could have just helped UW possibly win last year.

From what I heard, he wanted to commit immediately and CP told him to hold off, which allowed other teams to be involved. Family was very much husky fans, stemming more from his Grandparents (the mayor of Dupont). Mom loved Brian Hartline, who was recently kind of demoted from full OC back to OC / WR coach.
As I was reading this my Twitter group messaged that the semi project 3star OL from Bellevue who UW is recruiting got crystal donged to Oregon. Seriously.
