According to this chart, we have 69 scholarship players as of today

Desperately need 3 scholarship QBs before spring ball. Ideally, needed 3 scholarship QBs on the roster by yesterday

I think the best case would be to bring in Fifita and retain Rogers since he’s still on campus apparently. There should be a West Coast kid he can poach to help fill it out as well.

Otherwise I think it’s portal hunting, hope for someone like Malachi Nelson to decommit.

Yeah this is an OR situation.

Fifita with some backup plus whatever incoming recruit

OR

Rogers for a year (and hopefully with Mack returning)

I would go with Fifita at this point since he's got more years left than Rogers and has proven to be able to throw the ball in CFB.
 
Firmly in the LIPO camp. There’s going to be a lot of twists and turns before Fall camp.

Strongly in the Fifita camp. He has three seasons if he wants them and he's not an NFL body so it's a possibility. Fisch knows him inside and out. He gave the Huskies fits last year as a freshman. He's mobile. I think Rogers has like Penix mobility right? I'm done with that.

Fifita is slippery. He’s not really a runner though. He slides side to side, backtracks and spins his way into new throwing lanes. He and his receivers do a great job in scramble drill and seem to be on the same page creating a lot of off schedule explosives. He’s got to be coached up by Fisch to stay behind the LOS. He certainly has wheels but at his size why take the hits? If UW does get him I’m glad he’s elusive because it’s starting to look like our line will be a shell of itself next year. He kinda reminds me of a slightly better version of Marylands QB. Tua’s brother Talia.
