The Fisching Report Recruiting Thread Sponsored by The Fisch Bowl

I was watching the parade of recruits come out. Faraimo looks like he’s 10 years older than the rest of the group. Interesting they grabbed one kid off to the side and walked him onto the field in warmups and met w/ Jedd and Stevie B for a good 5 minutes before the rest came out on the field. Don’t remember that happening during the DeBoner tenure or anytime for that matter

Outside of waiting on the the stud LB from J Serra (Madden F.), it seems like they are done with this class or is there anyone else?

probably other guys but no one that’s uncommitted that udub is battling the big boys for. My little blackened doog heart hopes they are pushing to flip a guy or two that’ll get me excited but not hopeful.

If I was a top prospect I wouldn’t be too excited from the first 4 weeks and what’s been showcased but a good salesman can pitch that as opportunity so who knows.

Fortunately, Notre Dame hasn't looked that great. They lost at home to Northern Illinois. They are favored by 9.5 over undefeated #15 Louisville though as the game is at home.

Unfortunately I think the biggest battles will be trying to get guys not to flip. Namely the Portland OT, Ploog, and the Oregon DT. If they do I get the vibe they'll go through guys committed to midwestern schools and try to flip them. This will be extra challenging if they have a bad year, which is another reason you can't punt this year and aim for 2025/26.

Best. Class. Ever.

I think the posters, myself included, on the board who are punting this year are because of what’s been rolled out 4 weeks in.

I can’t even put together a coherent sentence right now.

Let's keep in mind that this is a whole new coaching staff with a roster of 50 some new faces. A team like this will tend to improve more throughout the season than one that is near or at its ceiling.
That's not to say that this team won't get ass blasted on the road against a team like Penn State who has a good coach in his 11th season there and has been stacking recruiting classes.

that’s a great point to keep in mind. Please also keep in mind that we? will need to prepare our anuses for a few of these games especially pedo state and their showers.

7-5 was always going to be a really good year 1

in many ways this team has looked better than I expected 4 games in

The reality is we are probably underdogs in 7 of our last 8 games

Oregon flipped an OT from Tennessee today, so I wonder if they're still going after Stascausky. They already have 3 in this class and he'd be 4th
Yeah, Utu. He visited UW and they were in his final 4 I think. That Oregon “Fuck you” money is daunting. Not even the Tennessee 10% player fee on tickets could compete with those luscious green bags.

Disagree. 2/3 of the board is expecting at least 8 wins this year.
2/3 is way too low of a % for this bored to be idiotic …

Over/Under is ALWAYS 81%
I know what you mean, but the bored takes the pole seriously

That's right, it's the 10th year of predicting the record for the 2024 season here on HH. Fall camp starts tomorrow, so it's time to get your your predictions in for the 2024 season. As always, I'll screencap the results after the first day.
Due to the changes in Vanilla formatting, I'm not posting links to the old results.
But most of the board is looking in the range of 7-9 wins this year

I’m just not scurred of the B1G like most people. I think the talent on this team is better than people think and it’s under performing right now

Losing Marcus Bryant to Missouri cost this team at least 2 wins this season. Overall talent is fine, but having an awful OL more than negates that.
