Disappointing. The trade with New York did absolutely nothing.
Minnesota for their size is actually pretty shitty on defense.

Did anyone really think Minnesota could pull this series out? There's a reason why OKC won 19 more games in the regular season.
 
The Face of the League moniker is so overdone. There's not going to be one because of how the NBA salary cap is set up now. No repeat champions anymore. The larger than life guys who represent a league in any sport become that guy by playing for championships all the time.
Jordan, LeBron, Magic, Bird, etc.

The league deserves every bit of what's coming.
 
Obviously not a Thunder fan but holly shit did Seattle lose a once in a generation/great GM. Still hoping Indiana wins but other than the unsexy city/franchise names, this should be an excellent Finals. Now that there are nearly two decades since the Sonics left with no players from Seattle I’m not losing any sleep over them winning although I hope they fail. Due to their youth, I expected the Lakers to beat them (worst prediction in the thread rather easy).
Sam Presti deserves a statue if they win. I just googled him and not surprised he spent 7 years in the front office of San Antonio before becoming GM, he’s only 47.

Halliburton and SGA with two great supporting casts should be fun, way better than a Boston final repeat. Fuck Halburton’s dad though, he’s a dipshit. NBA players voted Hali the most overrated player in the nba, oops. #myPacers
 
I wanted Denver or Minnesota obviously, but I'm glad that all the Spike Lee, Timothy Chardonneygayyeh, Benn Stiller shit is just about over.
It's good long term for the NBA that two small market, excellently constructed teams are in it this year. They still got a playoffs full of LA, New York, and Boston.
 
I’ll be sipping my Starbucks iced mocha and rooting for my Thunder this weekend. If the Pacers want to have any chance at all they need to have Catlin Clark dress up as a boy. I’m thinkin blackface and a Reggie Miller jersey should do the trick.

It's already been said but not having Game 1 until tomorrow is just fucking terrible business. Nobody has been talking about the NBA besides the Inside the NBA situation which is just more bad press for them. Then I'm sure there's going to be at least 2-3 days in-between games which is just stupid.

In other NBA news, Doris Burke is rumored to be getting axed from the first team broadcast crew starting next year. Now they need to get the fuck rid of Richard Jefferson and bring back Van Gundy and Jackson.
