I still think he's going to UCLA. It would have been easy for him just come out and say that he needed to be closer to his mom but instead he talks about not being able to stay in Eugene for 4 years. If location is a big deal then he'll probably take LA over staying home, because that's the cool thing to do these days. Then there's that class, 3 safeties already unless Pete told him that he'll shift those guy around for him.

There's a rumor that Oregon wanted Baker to play RB and his stated preference for DB(safety) is the reason he de-committed from the ducks. Another rumor which is probably an even a more speculative mistruth is that Petersen plans to have both a defensive position and an offensive/special teams "package" for Budda should the kid sign with UW. Gotta love the recruiting season rumor mill....... I'm certain the recruits on twitter do.

 
I hope Peterman is unwavering in UW's commitment to Bellevue talent by telling them they won't be shit if they go to UCLA.

True, but we have never had a real coach to try and get them. Now we do. I agree with you though. I think he's going to UCLA.

 
UCLA has Mora's son who was there in Bellevue, plus Miles Jack doing exactly what bubba wants to do - play mostly D but some offense or ST. Actually probably the main reason Bubba could end up at the UW is that Myles jack is already doing at UCLA what Bubba wants to do.
