I have a fascination with the late 70's early to mid 80's youth culture, and well, just culture in general. I've watched Streetwise a couple times and then stumbled on these articles from Crosscut about The Donut Shop. Unfortunately the articles scrubbed the pictures, but worth a read.

So the above stories introduced another story about Gary Little. A judge who killed himself in the King County Court House after allegations he molested young boys while as a teacher at Lakeside, and as well with runaways who were in the system. Interesting read. I was too young to know any of this was a thing but apparently teen boy stalking and prostitution was an out in the open secret in Seattle.

I always respect child diddlers more when they have the courage to off themselves.

Sickening stuff. Reads just like a number of church related pedo scandals with the layer after layer of cover ups and looking the other way. People's willingness to lie to themselves about what someone else is capable of despite hard evidence seems to transcend demographics and infect all institutions, whether governmental, educational or religious.

Really sad.
