An elected official openly mocking a political opponent as an “orange clown” while making generational promises to a specific group is exactly the kind of divisive, identity-based politics people are tired of. You don’t unite a state by picking favorites and taking shots at millions of Americans who think differently.
And let’s be honest—no governor gets to “pledge” what the country looks like generations from now. That’s not policy, it’s performative nonsense meant to score applause.
