I forget the story, what happened with Bandes not being there, chinjury?
Bandes was never a Poly Bowl commit. He was a World Bowl & All-American Game commit, but chose not to go to AA game cause he was still getting healthy from being sick at world bowl and wanted to just get on campus two days earlier instead of flying out and enrolling the day after the AA game.

Huh I thought for sure he was a Poly bowl guy. Gracias.

Bandes was actually part of the original group that committed to the game, including Tuitele and Buelow.

A year ago, before he was set on enrolling early. Also if you notice, half that list isn’t at the game now. These kids all lock their spots in until they get offers from all the other bowls and then can commit to up to two. The Poly Bowl offers early/accepts commits earlier than the others cause it’s a new bowl and still establishing itself.

I was looking for these details, so here you go if you were too;

The team jersey colors were announced as red for land and blue for sea, but I couldn't find which team is wearing what color. Apparently Makua means mountain (I saw it spelled Mauka also, both spellings on the official Poly Bowl site) so I made an assumption below that mountain=land so the other fuckers are going to be blue. Maybe.

Commits

Nathaniel Kalepo, OL Makua RED
Julius Buelow, OL Makai BLUE
Noa Ngalu, DL Makai BLUE
Sama Pa'ama, DL Makua RED
Faatui Tuitele, DL Makua RED
Miki Ah-You, LB Makai BLUE
Laiatu Latu, LB Makua RED
Alphonzo Tuputala, LB Makua RED
Timothy Horn, K Makai BLUE

Targets

Puka Nacua, WR Makai BLUE
Daniel Heimuli, LB Makua RED
Henry To'oto'o, LB Makai BLUE
Asa Turner, DB Makai BLUE

Makua HC Jim Zorn
Makai HC Mike Bellotti

Sat 1/19 CBS Sports Network 9pm PST

I get that a lot of kids change their all star commitments, I was responding to this:

"Bandes was never a Poly Bowl commit".

I distinctly remembered him talking Poly Bowel way back when and was just glad to see I didn't manufacture memories.

Latu only husky commit or remaining target mentioned in this list today.
“The Washington signee worked out with the linebackers in the morning and in the pass drop drills, he showed great agility, body control and hands in going up to get the ball. A high-level rugby player, you see the athleticism with Latu, who weighs around 270. In team drills, he lined up as an edge rusher and was routinely getting through his blocker and to the quarterback.”
