The bad ass Eastern Washington Eagles

Our defeat will be a recruiting bonanza for them, kids from across the region will be flocking to play at... Eastern?

This guy gets it.

In all seriousness, though...most kids in the PNW will always pick a Pac-12 school over a Big Sky or even MWC school. That said, big wins always help recruiting those kids that are "are the fence".

If a recruit has pac12 or MWC offers, there is no fence to be on. He isn't going to the big sky. Simple fact. Now a EWU win would certainly help them out recruit other big sky teams and maybe pick up more players leaving D1 programs for whatever reason. Such as Levi Mitchell

I'm with ya. I meant specifically kids that are on the fence between one FCS school and Eastern. Or, a lower-end FBS school and Eastern. We've actually recruited a lot of kids that fall into the latter category. Some kids would rather play for a winning program at the FCS level than somewhere like Wyoming, Idaho, etc.

As far as Mitchell goes, he was recruited heavily out of HS by Eastern, but wanted to play for June Jones at SMU. When he decided to transfer out, it was a pretty easy move as he was already familiar with the coaching staff.

We have a few Pac-12 transfers on the team like McDonald (UCLA) at Safety, but those are really the exception. We recruit mostly kids out of HS. Baldwin turned down 9/10 transfer requests this season, with the exception being Wadood from Arizona State at CB...at that's most likely because we are so thin at that position.
