The 4 Bands That Will Still Be Played In 2100

For those trying to play the guessing game, the caveat is that the bands haven't released an album in the past 30 years.

The Police is one of the 4. I don't really get that one, but that's just me. Queen, Nirvana, and The Beatles are the others.

I totally get The Police. Their music is timeless. Songs are catchy, solid catalog. Too bad Stewart and Sting couldn't stand one another at times. Stewart still talks a lot of shit.
Nirvana/grunge was a fad. Sorry, Seattle bros, truth.
Would sub in the Stones for either Queen or Nirvana and not lose a minute of sleep.
The future will also wonder why it was all white males.

If Van Halen is ever not played in America I don’t want to live here anymore

Millennial JAGs fucking love Queen.
I’ll die on the hill that Queen is vastly overrated

The answer is no bands are being played in 2100. Joey and I were chopping it up in the Chateau Marmont pool about how We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You are basically the same song.
Releasing a popular biopic also always gives bands temporary boosts. Plus, everything gay is pumped up with people these days so that works in Queen's favor. Also the tragic untimely death of the star of the band helps.
Led Zeppelin is one that really has seemed to fall off a cliff in awareness and I wouldn't have expected that given they maintained a cool factor for 30-40 years after their prime.
