That pass blocking

He had on average at most 2 seconds, sometimes a second to get the ball off. I knew the OL was suspect, but JFC! We need a 'better pass blocking than UW tonight' but I can't think of an example at the moment. It was some kind of record.

Fisch, in all his brilliance, had one of the fastest QBs in college football drop straight back on virtually every pass play. The one time I recall a scripted rollout, Muhammad fucked up the block on Burch.
Fisch is played up to be some kind of offensive mastermind, but he’s really a dumbfuck who has been exposed.
Two weeks of preparation and that’s the offense he devised?
Brilliant!

Did we even run an option to either side with Williams and Coleman…or just leave him in the pocket all game to die?
Oh, we just save the speed options for Rogers at the goal line

you mean replacing our starting OL with transfers from Portland State isnt the answer?

It sucks that money has mostly ruined college football but it's tough to see it going back to where it was even a few years ago.
UW could have kept at least Kalepo and Buelow but Ole Miss was willing to pay them 3x what UW was willing to pay. Brailsford was likely going with DeBoer regardless unless UDub paid him an extreme amount. Same for Bernard and Cuevas. But with a rebuilding year no matter what, I'm not sure it would have made that much sense when UW was scrambling after DeBoer caused the portal window to open.
Bottom line is that people here can complain about the OL and DL but ponying up money will actually do something about it:

Does anyone still think we're fine just bringing back the guys from this year on the OL? They didn't show much improvement as the season went on. Was that the worst OL in modern UW history?

That logo looks like it belongs to a tier two AAU travel team

They will probably look for a portal OG and a portal OT. McCree was decent enough at LT before he got hurt and Tafai may be a better fit at RT.
I'm not sure Azzopardi has a ceiling high enough to be a good B1G starter.

My opinion is that you get your red shirt and frosh years to be too young to play and you need show the type of player you are by sophomore year on the oline. Azzopardi has confirmed all year that he is terrible. Not worth investing in or hoping that he will turn into a starter for a 10 win team.
Mcree seemed good. Hatchet maybe? Alot of unproven besides that but there is some "talent".
Also what does Carol get payed the second highest UW has payed an OC for? Doesn't call plays and his oline doesn't get better

How do you know that Ole Miss paid those guys 3x what UW offered?

Brennan Carroll is making $1.3 million this year. He is in his 10th year as an OL coach (and 4th with the title of OC).

From my sources. And it makes sense since Ole Miss was making a big push this season with the expanded playoffs.

If Grubb gets shit canned then bring him in as co-coordinator and let him call the plays.

It seems like it would help his career the most long term to just donate his fucking salary (less enough to rent a slumlord apartment in Lake City) to the "support now montlake futures" website.

Additionally, maybe don't have your freshman backup RB blocking a 290lb All American DE?

My sources say you're dumber than a bag of hammers.

You don't have to believe me, I was told what I was told.
But at the very least, you should agree that a guy from Seattle and a guy from Hawaii wouldn't go to Oxford f'ing Mississippi just for the hell of it.
