Once again, my nurturing self feels the need to correct the blatant distortion of truth.
Y’all keep posting pictures of meth pipes and calling them crack pipes.
Crack is usually smoked by the application of direct heat, whereas meth is melted in that bowl pipe and receive heat transfer through the glass. A crack pipe will usually be a straight tube with a piece of Brillo or some metal mesh at the end. I suppose it’s possible to smoke crack out of the thing in Biden’s son’s mouth, sometimes you can’t be picky, but highly improbable since just breaking the bulb at the end will give you a straight glass tube.
I just wanted to set the record straight. FYI your nearest non-chain convenience store sells both of them, sometimes even individual bits of Brillo are included. They have a little plastic flower inside of them, so you ask for a rose stem or a flower tube. Themoreyouknow.gif They’ve also been handing them out for free (while supplies last) at needle exchanges in every city that has one for like 15 years, not sure of the provenance of funding for those be it public or private.
I would rather the government not be in the business of pipe distribution, but economically a $1 pipe is cheaper for society than burn treatment. Let alone needles/blood borne diseases.

Would need to see more data on how many DIAFF vs. survive/care costs.
It might be more cost effective to society to just let those fuckers combust.

Average hospital stay is ~$10,000 for Medicaid.
But I’ll give you the point that since the government is distributing those pipes, instead of being like 50/$10 from Wish they’ll be $500 each. Distribution contracted out to a local non-profit where the director gets $50k/month and venerable members of society sit on the board of directors and enjoy a catered quarterly luncheon with an open bar and goody bags.
It might be more cost effective for the combustion route, but most of them are skinny and don’t burn well. Have you seen the cost of coffins?
