There is nothing more important than term limits. The problem is democrats like their corrupt leaders, and those that have to change the law are the very people we elected. They are never, ever going to term limit themselves.
Trump is the only one in the DC power structure who isn’t owned by outside interests and he is starting to show his age.
McConnell being a vegetable is much less worrisome than how Biden skated through 4 years of whatever the fuck that was. DC politics is the only profession I know of where 70-80 years old people are in charge. It’s nuts when you think about it. Why?

It's not just the Democrats. Don't fool yourself. They're all compromised and corrupt and don't want to give up the gravy train.
I said that democrats like their corrupt representatives. The only side that has ever voted state side for term limits on their candidates are Republicans. You will never see rats vote for term limits when polling suggests that the Republican voters (not congressmen) support term limits. There are a number of members of Congress who have spoken favorably about term limits. In my memory none of them have been democrats.
Not all congressmen are corrupt. Some definitely are, but not all. That fact has nothing to do with term limits.
