There's a double pronged problem that screwed both Baylor and TCU out of the final four:

Problem One—Baylor schedules like total pussies. Their non-con schedule made Mississippi State's look like murderers row. SMU? buffalo? NW State? Holy shit. This is no isolated incident of a last minute back out of a respectable foe either, this is how Baylor rolls into the future too. No A-B-C going on at Baylor. The are scheduling F-F-F minus. In a few years they are playing some dreck called Incarnate Word.

Fuck Baylor right in the pussy. You put them in the playoff, the committee endorses faggot scheduling. I would have left Baylor out even if undefeated. We need more intersectional games in September not fewer so Baylor has to be punished for their cynical scheduling.

Problem Two—TCU lost to these faggot bears. Didn't just lose to them either, blew a big second half lead in a game that really only suggests that neither squad plays any effective defense whatsoever. B12 lawyering doesn't change the fact that the faggot bears hold the HTH tiebreaker in a classical round robin football season. Just like the Ducks and the Beavers were not really the league champs in 2000 because UW held the CLINCHING tiebreaker, TCU is not a meaningful co-champ.

Since I am pretty sure a significant fraction of the committee has been "fuck you faggot bears" since the first poll, it is problematic to advance TCU to the inaugural playoff over a Baylor team that no one sensible can ultimately respect.

Then tOSU wipes out Wisky and Heisman hopeful Gordon III. Problems both solved. On resume, is tOSU the objectively strongest candidate? No. Is it the least problematic under the guidelines set forth for the new process? Hell yes. If tOSU won 9-0 TCU would have been in. 59-0 made it easy to screw the B12 and its bullshit politicking.

Ultimately, Patterson had it right. Go undefeated if you want to leave no questions open to subjective answers.

Hoping for upsets at the top, the B12 commish was angling to get both BU and TCU into the final four over the past few weeks. That approach backfired big time, especially when the committee has demonstrated ranking fluidity throughout the process.

TCU lost to exactly the wrong opponent, a foe that won the conference on a tiebreaker but who didn't play fucking anybody else with an elite or near elite résumé.

If Ohio st was Iowa this never would have happened. But they're not and a good Ohio state team does not get left out. If tcu were Texas or Oklahoma there is not a chance in hell they would have been overpasses. Same for Baylor.

All that being said you could make a case for each team and each team can blame themselves.

Look in the official playoff thread. I paint a picture with facts. Texas- worst season since 2010. Before that, 1997. Oklahoma- Worst season since 2009. OK State- worst season since 2007. Iowa State has gone from a team capable of upsets to total disaster. Texas Tech has gone from above average to horrible. No standout non conference wins. It's not a good conference this year.

It's debatable who is the better team between TCU/Baylor/Ohio State.

But anyone who tries to argue the Big10 isn't shittier than the Big12 is a certifiable Fucktard and probably should DIAFF or lock himself in SunnyDoogers basement rape pit.

Illinois managed to get bowl eligible in that league. Iowa State beat Iowa on the road. Utah gave Michigan a bigger beating than Ohio State. Northwestern beat Wisconsin but lost to Cal. There is no objective argument you can construct that doesn't have the Big10 the worst or 2nd worst conference (in front of ACC) in college football.

That argument is pretty retarded. Assessing conference's based on the worst teams is like buying a house based on the best basement.

The Big10 was unanimously seen by national writers as the worst conference after a truly abysmal OOC showing. I think after this bowl season we will again hear the Big10 belly laughs. Looking at their top 5 bowl match ups (tOSU, MSU, Wisc, Minn, Neb) I think they will be dogs in all 5 games (maybe not Minnesota over Missourah). And i predict they will get blown out in 2 or 3, including Sark plundering Nebraska and Baylor running Sparty out of the stadium.

The Big 10 sucks. I completely agree. That said, Ohio State and Michigan State very well could be better than TCU and Baylor. Michigan State's only two losses are to playoff teams. I'm glad Sparty gets to face Baylor and we can find out.

Both conferences have two really good teams, a couple decent teams, and the rest are very average or dreck. Their top 5 teams are pretty comparable. The Big 10 has more really shitty teams though, which is the main difference.

That was a lack of belief in Sark after watching him up close for five years. I didn't realize how far ND had fallen.

The stuff about bowl games doesn't really change anything because USC would likely be favored over every team in the Big 12 except TCU and Baylor. They should beat Nebraska. Same goes with Missouri over Minnesota. Same with Auburn and Wisconsin. Auburn already beat the #3 Big 12 team and Kansas State was at home.

The Big 10's 10-14 dreck is what makes the Big 12 better. The Baylor-Sparty game will be telling.
