Tell me...

For the record, not the least bit impressed but they basically play in the Mountain West now and you could easily run the table with that schedule not even being that good. I can't think of many games at least not recently where a team had to do less to win a game.
Yes, but WSU is a Mountain West team. It's not like they're playing down to the competition.
WSU is a lot better than even the best MWC teams year in and year out. They are all in on football given the resources they have. They will run that conference they are cobbling together, except for the occasional Boyzee or Boov season
disagree

That's fine, you can also just look at the facts

Boise State 10 years ago would be different

RE: Year One DeBoer in this situation I really don't know. It's already such a different world of college football in a few years even the OKG type Petersen guys probably all would have bolted. Even Penix is much different throwing to Giles/Boston/Hunter and no TEs.
Re: UCLA in 2022 that team did have some really nice pieces in DTR, Charbonnet, Bobo, Latu, etc and those guys had a schedule where they basically had four scrimmages against garbage teams and were laying in wait. Even with that, it was on the defense and defensive staff and Jimmy not recruiting DBs at all for years.
Re: The Coug. Joey made a great point that they got set up well this year in comparison to say the Beav who lost more players and their coach and have at least one year of being closer to a P5 team than a G5. They also worked out well they had a QB on their roster with some skills who had he played last year would have at least been offered bags by power schools.

In my best Mike Holmgren voice,
Lookit, I get those who want to pump up cuog to help take the sting out of Saturday's debacle, but at the end of the day, it's still cuog. Crown their ass now all you want.
Sorry, threw in some Dennis Green for bipoc flavor.

Ha definitely won't crown the Cuog. They're the same they've always been under Dickert, a team that would win 4-6 games in a real Pac-12. They just play in the Mountain West basically now and that conference is constantly won by Boise teams that would be mid to low Pac-12 teams. Case in point Tyrone basically beat undefeated Hawaii in Honolulu in 2007 and beat a Boise team earlier that year who would have won that conference almost every year.

Cougs have a legit chance to run the table which also makes sense why they would put everything into this game knowing this was their toughest game. Jeanty could pose a challenge with Boise but their run defense has been good and Boise's QB sucks and looks like Vince Neil now.
the cougs will coug it.
